Ensemble Guild Zine is a New Voice for Mississippi Creatives Making Moonshots

We’re excited to introduce the Ensemble Guild Zine. 

The Making Moonshots zine is a new home for the stories, ideas, and creative work that bring Mississippi’s arts community together.    

Created for artists, makers, and everyone who loves a good behind-the-scenes story, the zine will celebrate the people and projects shaping our creative landscape. Inside, you’ll find a mix of paintings, comics, collages, short stories, poetry, photography, and more. Each issue brings together different voices and forms of expression, creating a little space where our creative community can share what it makes.

Why “Making Moonshots”? A moonshot is a bold idea: something imaginative, ambitious, and just beyond the familiar. Making Moonshots celebrates the courage to create without knowing exactly where an idea will land, and the finished works that come from reaching for something new. We chose it as the title of our zine series because every painting, comic, collage, story, poem, and photograph can be its own creative leap.

The theme of our inaugural issue is “Moonshots in the Winter.” As the season turns, we’re gathering works that dream big, find wonder in the cold, or chart their own course through the long nights. 

We can’t wait to share this first collection with you on December 21, 2026, the first day of winter.
