Saint Allen Austin

Chief Creative Director + Founding Member

Saint Allen Austin is a filmmaker, screenwriter, and cultural producer whose work serves as a living archive for the contemporary stories of Tunica and the broader Mississippi Delta. His practice is deeply rooted in cinematic documentation, narrative film development, and creative direction that honors the complex social and historical textures of his home region.

As a core voice in the development of Mississippi’s independent film landscape, Saint focuses on creating work that resists reductive regional stereotypes, opting instead for nuanced, high-craft visual storytelling. Beyond his personal directorial and writing pursuits, he is an infrastructure builder dedicated to establishing safe, collaborative production spaces that connect local creatives, share baseline resources, and retain technical talent within the state. As a foundational piece of the ecosystem, Saint bridges the gap between grassroots Delta narratives and scalable, institutional media distribution.

Saint’s immediate focus centers on developing localized independent production frameworks that can successfully interface with broader regional distribution channels. By structuring robust local sets and protecting creative autonomy at the root level, he is establishing a blueprint for how Delta-born cinematic projects can scale to global audiences without losing their foundational truth.
