Kenny Pahina is an independent pop artist, songwriter, producer, and curator operating out of Jackson, Mississippi. As the architect behind the self-directed creative label Planet Pahina, he has established an agile career footprint that spans studio recording, visual concepts, live stage production, and commercial music licensing.
Kenny's work has skipped regional borders to impact the global advertising market, most notably featuring in Samsung Galaxy’s worldwide "Awesome is for Everyone" initiative alongside international talent. Concurrently, he maintains strong grassroots cultural equity within Mississippi's creative ecosystem. He has performed at the Mississippi Museum of Art, opened for prominent touring artists like Westside Boogie and Durand Bernarr, and produces a recurring series of intimate, community-centered live shows at Urban Foxes. Following the 2026 release of his debut full-length project, Boy Next Door, Kenny continues to scale his independent footprint while remaining anchored in regional curation.
"When people think of Mississippi culture, they usually picture blues, gospel, country, and dirt roads. All of that matters, but it is not the whole story. I make nostalgic pop, R&B, and dance music... I'm just here to push the envelope a little further artistically, showing what Mississippi (also) sounds and looks like.”
